The Hollywood Tortoise Ranch is located right off the iconic Sunset Boulevard, in the middle of Hollywood. We are home to different species of tortoises and reptiles. Our goal is to educate and conserve these great creatures. By raising awareness on these species and their environment, we are ensuring their survival through the generations.
The one on and behind scenes at the Tortoise Ranch is Cactus Joe. Ever since he saw his grandmother’s tortoises in El Salvador, he became intrigued by reptiles of all kinds. Cactus Joe’s goal is to conserve tortoises and educate people about the tortoises. That way, less tortoises will have to be re-homed in the future.
